Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use VoxSplit?
Drag an audio file (mp3, m4a, wav, flac, aac) onto the window or click to choose one. Pick a mode — Vocal Separation, Instrumental Extraction, or 4-Stem Separation — then click Start Separation and choose an output folder. The separated tracks are saved as lossless WAV files.
Are my files uploaded?
No. All processing happens entirely on your Mac. VoxSplit works fully offline and never uploads any audio or data.
Which Macs are supported?
VoxSplit runs on Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or later) with macOS 14.0 or newer.
What formats can I import?
mp3, m4a, wav, flac, and aac. Output is always lossless WAV at the original quality.
Why does separation take a while?
VoxSplit runs advanced AI models locally on your device for the best quality. Processing time depends on track length and your Mac's performance.
